On January 23rd 2010 the Tug + Barge Dixie Vengeance had a Collision with the Aframax MT Eagle Otome. The barge collided with the tanker at about 09:30 local time, in the Sabine-Neches Waterway as the tanker, chartered by Exxon-Mobil from AET Incorporated to move oil to Exxon's refinery in Beaumont, Texas, moved upstream, and the barge was being maneuvered out of the harbor. After the vessel was cleared, MEC PANAMA was awarded for the Afloat Repairs, and the Aframax tanker left Houston to Colon 2000 Pier Facilities in Cristobal, Panama. 57 Tons of High Tensile Steel were renewed on 15 days, a record not match to date by any other Shipyard in the Region.
